.IT Domain Names
Introduced in 1987, Italy’s .IT country-specific top-level domain is really popular both within the country and in the English-speaking world. The reason is that the domain is a pronoun, which can be used for forming creative and attractive domain names – write.it, youcanmake.it and so on. This is a way to create an easy-to-learn domain name, so that it will be easier for your visitors to come back to your website or to share it with coworkers and friends. The domain extension can also be used for a website, which is connected to the information sector taking into consideration that IT is an abbreviation, which is well-known around the world.
Taking into consideration that dot IT domains are not offered directly by IT-NIC, the Registry that supervises this TLD, such a domain can be obtained through a third-party company, such as ours. We will manage the registration process for you and take care of submitting your application to the Registry. You can book a dot IT domain for a one-year period at a time, and the domains are transferable, so you can move your existing domain over to our firm and we will renew it when the transfer has been done. The sole limitation is that the person obtaining such a domain should be situated in a member state of the European Union.
Because there are existing Second-Level Domains that include names of different regions and localities in Italy reserved for local third-level registrations, new names that include geographical areas of any sort are not allowed on any level to avoid any future confusion.
