A Control Panel is a software tool employed to manage the content of a web hosting account. This includes, but is not limited to, files, e-mails, databases, statistics along with other operations executed with them. The Control Panel offers a web-based interface to handle all of these things and anything else relevant to the web hosting service using different sections where you can access functions through buttons and/or menus. The simpler to use a CP is, the easier it'll be for you to handle your online presence in its entirety. In the typical case, the Control Panel is the hosting account’s back office, while a separate billing account is employed to control payments and domain name registrations - if the company provides that service. Trouble tickets can be managed through the billing account or by using an independent system.
